Aqui transcrevemos um trabalho feito por Sara Maybury sobre o Ramo Gibson Paton, que iniciou-se com o casamento de Mary, filha de Henry Gibson, com Edward Paton.

1-James Paton [218] died on 8 Nov 1826 in Crailing House, Crailing, Roxburgh..

James married Christian Mary Cadell [219] [MRIN: 60] on 16 Dec 1798. Christian died 30 Jan 1858 (?1838) in Crailing, Roxburghshire. They had two children: Mary and George C.

         

2-Mary Paton [217] was born in 1802 in Crailing, Roxburghshire, was christened on 18 May 1802 in Crailing, Roxburghshire, and died on 17 Feb 1879 aged 77.

  Mary married Revd. John Paton [216] [MRIN: 59]. John was born in 1804 and died in 1870 aged 66. They had three children: Mary, Edward and James Robert.

                       

 3-Mary Paton [225] was born in 1833 in Ancrum, Roxburghshire.

 3-Edward Paton [96] was born on 7 Dec 1835 in Ancrum, Roxburghshire, was christened on 21 Feb 1836 in Ancrum, Roxburghshire, and died in 1895 in Pernambuco, aged 60.

5-Second Lieutenant Ronald Paton Hood [212] was born circa 1898, died on 28 Sep 1917 in Missing in Action (TIMES) aged  19, and was buried in Arras Flying Services Memorial. No Grave..

Younger of two sons of Mr & Mrs Thomas M Hood, of Rio de Janeiro and his elder brother was killed on April 14th.

 Born at Pernambuco, educated at Forest School, Felsted, he joined the Artists Rifles in 1815. Commission in the Royal Flying Corps last April - he went to the Front in May. See cutting.
